A leading medical technology company in Mexicali is seeking a candidate to control nonconforming purchased materials in the manufacturing process. This role requires advanced English reading comprehension, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position operates on a day shift and may require overtime and weekend support. A High School Diploma is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for controlling nonconforming purchased materials.
• Verifies and contains material segregated as Non Conforming.
• Performs Cyclic Counts to quarantine locations.
• Registers containment of Non Conforming material.
• Monitors progress of Variance requests.
• Assigns responsible users to tasks.
• Coordinates sorting and retest activities with personnel.
• Attends weekly status meetings.
• Works closely with Engineers.

Conocimientos

Advanced reading comprehension skills in English

Experience in SAP ERP Information System

Job Description

Primary Function of Position

Responsible for controlling nonconforming purchased materials from supplier in all product and processes utilized in the manufacture, inspection, testing, and release of finished product.

Essential Job Duties

• Verifies and contains material segregated as Non Conforming.
• Performs Cyclic Counts to quarantine locations as needed.
• Registers containment of Non Conforming material.
• Monitors progress of VR (Variance request).
• Assigns responsible users to VR tasks.
• Follows up with involved departments such as but not limited to: Supplier Engineering, Quality Engineering, Purchasing and Logistics on pending actions on open VRs.
• Assigns activities such as Sort, Rework, Retest and Reinspection according to Engineering Recommendation.
• Assigns final disposition to VR according to Engineering Recommendation.
• Coordinates Sorting and Retest activities with assigned personnel.
• Attends weekly status meetings and provides status updates for material in MRB.
• Works closely with Engineers.
• Provides feedback and guidance for reviewers and approvers.
• Performs any other projects or duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Advanced reading comprehension skills in English.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
• Experience in SAP ERP Information System recommended.

Required Education And Training

• High School Diploma.

Working Conditions

• Able to work at designated shift with OT and weekend support depending on demand.
• Office‑like conditions.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
