Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Senior Mobile QA Engineer focused on manual testing of Android and iOS apps. You will plan, execute, and report on tests, manage defects in Jira/Xray, and collaborate with GitHub-based teams.

Proficiency with Charles Proxy and Slackbot integration is required, with on-site attendance 3 days per week in Mexico operations. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mobile testing, 3+ years with GitHub Actions CI/CD, and strong English skills to coordinate across

TCS is looking for a Senior Mobile QA Engineer to be focused on manual mobile application testing, test planning, test management using Jira/Xray, GitHub-based collaboration, CI/CD test execution through GitHub Actions, network debugging using Charles Proxy, and Slackbot integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases for Android and iOS applications.
• Perform manual functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Manage test cases, test execution results, and defects using Jira and Xray.
• Collaborate with development and automation teams using GitHub.
• Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot automated test workflows through GitHub Actions.
• Use Charles Proxy to investigate API communication, network requests, and mobile application issues.
• Monitor and manage test execution notifications and reporting through Slackbot.
• Validate application behavior across supported mobile devices, operating systems, and application versions.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA teams to ensure quality releases.
• Support mobile automation activities using Appium, Java/JUnit, Carina, and Sauce Labs where applicable.
• Provide test execution status, defect metrics, and release-readiness reports

Functional Skills

• Strong understanding of manual testing concepts, test planning, test scenario identification, test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Jira and Jira Xray for test management, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
• GitHub for repository management, version control, and collaboration.
• GitHub Actions for executing, monitoring, and troubleshooting automated test workflows.
• Charles Proxy for analyzing mobile application network traffic, API requests/responses, and troubleshooting.
• Working with Slack & Slackbot for test execution notifications, status reporting, and team collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

• +5 years of experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of Android and iOS mobile applications.
• +3 years of experience with CI/CD test execution through GitHub Actions.
• Advanced English level

(Candidate needs to be located or relocate to Querétaro, Guadalajara, Monterrey or CDMX, it will be requested to attend office at least 3 day per week).
