Ford Mexico seeks a Software Validation Engineer to design, develop, and run automated tests for native mobile features in the Ford app, focusing on in‑app commerce and subscriptions. You’ll work with a mentor in a small QA team supporting Android and iOS, with 4 days on site in Naucalpan.

You’ll build and maintain test cases, execute across dev/staging, and log defects in JIRA, while growing your mobile automation expertise in a collaborative environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 2-3 years of QA/testing experience, mobile testing.
• Working knowledge of XCTest/XCUIAutomation and Jetpack Compose Test API and Espresso, or ability to ramp up quickly with mentorship.
• Basic understanding of e-commerce, in-app purchase, or subscription-based feature flows.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Exposure to JIRA.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
• Advanced English skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for native mobile features using established frameworks (XCTest/XCUIAutomation for iOS, Jetpack Compose Test API + Espresso for Android).
• Execute test coverage for in-app purchase and subscription flows, including checkout and subscription lifecycle events.
• Execute manual and automated test cases across development and staging environments, documenting results clearly.
• Analyze test failures, perform initial troubleshooting and debugging, and escalate complex root cause analysis to the Lead as needed.
• Log, track, and help manage defects through resolution using JIRA.
• Contribute test automation code to shared repositories using Git, following established branching and merge practices.
• Run automated test suites within existing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and flag pipeline issues to the Lead.
• Collaborate with the Lead and development team to understand feature requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Continuously build proficiency in mobile automation tooling and testing best practices, with growth support from the Lead.
