Talentflow is seeking a Mid-Senior Android Engineer to join a highly technical software engineering team building complex native Android applications and user interfaces in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with product, UX, and embedded teams to deliver high-quality software. This role offers autonomy, technical leadership, and opportunities to influence architecture and tooling decisions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years in native Android.
• Strong experience developing native Android applications.
• Extensive knowledge of Android SDK and various Android versions.
• Experience with Java and Kotlin and data binding.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work independently.
• Advanced English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

We are currently looking for a Mid- Senior Android Engineer to join a highly technical software engineering team developing complex native Android applications and user interfaces.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Android engineer who enjoys working close to software architecture, UI development, system integration, and cross-functional technical teams.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver complex Android user interfaces using Java, Kotlin, and XML.
• Provide technical leadership around UI architecture and implementation.
• Participate in software requirements, architecture, detailed design, implementation, documentation, testing, and validation.
• Integrate Android applications with embedded software through serial and Ethernet interfaces.
• Work with product, UX, and technical teams to translate requirements into high-quality software solutions.
• Define development tasks, estimate effort, and support project planning.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Balance multiple projects and priorities while working with a high degree of autonomy.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience developing complex native Android applications.
• Strong experience developing native Android applications.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and different Android versions.
• Strong understanding of Android layouts and Data Binding.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with Java and complex Java applications.
• Experience with Kotlin.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Experience integrating graphical and video assets into Android applications.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Advanced English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Linux and command-line tools.
• Experience building or customizing Android Open Source Project (AOSP) images.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing, including JUnit and Espresso.
• Experience with Dagger/Hilt or other dependency injection frameworks.
• Experience with Room and database management.
• Knowledge of MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Experience working with embedded systems and serial/Ethernet communication.
• Experience with Python, Groovy, Shell, C/C++.
• Experience with Gradle, Jenkins, or Docker.
• Familiarity with UML and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
