Job summary

Applied Medical is seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician to support polymer molding operations at its Lake Forest, CA site. The role involves equipment setup, startup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and shutdown to produce quality medical device components while maintaining lean manufacturing practices in a collaborative environment.

The candidate will document parameters, collaborate with engineering and quality, and help ensure production on-time output.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–3 years in manufacturing or injection molding.
Knowledge of mold setup, changeovers, and process control.
Familiarity with robots, chillers, dryers and related equipment.
Ability to read engineering drawings and SOPs.
Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office for documentation.

Responsibilities

Perform mold setup, changeovers, and equipment preparation in support of production.
Monitor molding processes and equipment to maintain quality.
Troubleshoot processes and adjust to meet specifications.
Conduct line clearances and verify readiness of tooling and materials.
Support mold cleaning, maintenance, and tooling care.
Document process parameters and shop order status in SAP and systems.
Collaborate with team leaders, engineers, quality, and maintenance.
Escalate issues and initiate maintenance when needed.
