Aptiv is seeking a Product Engineer - Mechanical to contribute to the design, analysis, validation, and continuous improvement of mechanical components and assemblies used in hardware and product engineering projects. You will address thermal management, structural analysis, and manufacturability within cross-functional, global teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with CAD, FEA, GD&T, and FMEA, plus strong communication in English.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design and hardware product development.
• Strong knowledge of thermal management and heat dissipation.
• Hands-on experience with FEA/structural analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for 3D modeling and drawings.
• Understanding of DFМ and manufacturability.
• Experience with FMEA and risk assessment.
• Solid GD&T knowledge and application.
• Experience with EMC/EMI considerations in enclosure design.
• Experience with ASPICE or similar automotive processes.
• Experience using Polarion or equivalent traceability tools.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication.

Responsabilidades

• Design and select mechanical components for hardware projects.
• Develop thermal management solutions for effective heat dissipation.
• Perform structural analysis to assess strength and durability.
• Run FEA simulations to validate designs.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency through DFM.
• Conduct FMEA to identify and mitigate failures.
• Apply GD&T to ensure proper fit and function.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes.
• Follow established mechanical engineering methodologies and standards.
• Develop and validate designs per MCAD workflows.
• Design plastic and metal components; consider EMC/EMI in enclosures.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, and systems teams.
