Dematic is seeking a Professional Mechanical Engineer to join the Lifecycle Solutions & Services (LSS) Modernizations and Upgrades team. Based in Monterrey, N.L., you will travel up to 50% to customer locations in the USA and lead the design of semi-complex systems integrating hardware and software.

You will perform full range of standard professional work, manage budgets, schedules, and risks, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safety and quality during site commissioning.

Formación

• BS/BA in mechanical engineering or advanced degree.
• 4+ years of successful experience in related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, or similar.
• Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software, including all documentation and forecasting.
• Perform full range of standard work for the professional field.
• Lead and provide support in semi-complex material specification, equipment configuration, layout drawing generation, BOM development, and follow-up.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and risks; meet deadlines and deliverables, achieve budget, and manage risk with team leads.
• Participate in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and customer satisfaction.
• Perform areas of standard professional level work for complex, less clearly defined issues.
• Complete equipment configuration and order entry for mechanical hardware and resale components.
• Attend and lead technical reviews of all project types or areas.
• Capable of solving complex or unusual problems related to hardware and/or software.
• Lead medium to large complex projects through the lifecycle, including delegating tasks.
• Perform site-audits at project initiation to gather site information and confirm scope.
• Perform on-site commissioning activities independently or with a team; review and report feedback of site readiness.
• Attend meetings before travel with site lead/project manager.
• Own the Commissioning Plan and Schedule.
• Coordinate with field engineering team for project execution.
• Mentor and share knowledge with less experienced engineers.
• Provide guidance to installation teams.
• Follow current safety best practices on-site and implement safety design practices.
