A leading automotive company in Monterrey is seeking a Materials Planner (Maritime) to review customer schedules and monitor production plans. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in materials planning, particularly in maritime logistics. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on achieving operational goals.

Formación

  • 3 – 5 years of experience as Material Planner.
  • Experience in Maritime materials planning.

Responsabilidades

  • Review customer schedules and develop part number lever schedule.
  • Publish rough cut capacity load based on customer forecasts.
  • Forecast direct labor requirements using ERP system.
  • Maintain achievement to schedule metric.
  • Establish and monitor FG/WIP safety stock levels.
  • Participate with SCM team to achieve targets.

General Description

Review customer schedules and develop, communicate and monitor a part number lever schedule by work center for the plant. May use engineering plans and production specifications to produce those schedules, material requirements lists, and production plans for the manufacture of products, forecasting the plants direct labor requirements using customer demand and routing labor details within the plant ERP system. Checks production activity to provide a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements. Works with management to organize schedule changes due to backlogs, design changes, and material or labour shortages. May evaluate production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tool, and manpower requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Review customer schedules and develop, communicate and monitor a part number lever schedule by work center for the plant.
  • Publish a rough cut capacity load by work center based on future customer forecasts.
  • Forecast the plant's direct labor requirements using customer demand and routing labor details within the plant ERP system.
  • Maintain the plant's achievement to schedule metric, ensuring that the leadership team understands the goal and that there are sound plans to achieve 85% minimum.
  • Establish and monitor FG/ WIP safety stock levels based on the plant's ability to achieve schedule. Support the engineering change process as required by the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Participate with the SCM team to achieve targets, goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the Management of the ECN process.
  • Monitor the customer forecasts, comparing quoted capacities to required capacities and communicating overages to the SCM manager in advance of the requirement.

  • Experience as Material Planner including Maritime
