dsm-firmenich is seeking a Material Planner in Toluca to manage procurement of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods, while controlling service levels, inventory and losses. The role leads raw material forecasting for North American production sites and ensures timely, accurate supplier communication and follow-ups.

Responsibilities include PO creation, requisition monitoring, crisis alert analysis, and KPI-driven planning.

Formación

• Bachelor degree required; Titulado preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables.
• English and Spanish proficiency at a high level.

Responsabilidades

• Create Purchase Orders to meet material demand.
• Monitor requisitions with past release dates.
• Analyze and respond to raw material crisis alerts daily.
• Keep planning parameters up to date on request.
• Follow up on delivery date confirmations with suppliers.
• Monitor POs with past delivery dates and act as needed.
• Confirm sales orders to CX team for trading materials.
• Maintain Planning KPIs and drive improvements.
• Support follow up of Supplier Non-Conformances.
• Escalate issues impacting business continuity and KPIs.
• Provide forecasts to external suppliers as needed.
• Request re-birth of materials close to expiry to Quality.

Job Title: Material Planner

City: Toluca, Estado de Mexico

As a Material Planner you will be responsible for Manage, maintain, and improve the procurement of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods while keeping the KPIs of the area under control. (service level, inventory level and inventory losses). Additionally, this role is responsible for leading the raw material forecasting process for the North American production sites, communicating forward-looking forecasts to suppliers, and executing timely follow-ups to ensure reliable, on-time, in-full material supply.

Your key responsibilities

• Creation of Purchase Orders to fulfill demand requirements for procured materials, considering the demand, stock level
• Monitor purchase requisitions with release date in the past (weekly).
• Analyze and take action to solve the raw material crisis alerts (daily).
• Keep planning parameters up to date (adhoc).
• Follow-up on delivery date confirmations with external suppliers and act on the missing confirmations (daily).
• Monitor purchase orders with delivery date in the past to take action if needed and keep system updated(daily).
• Confirm sales order to CX team for trading materials (daily).
• Contribute to keep Planning KPIs under control (daily).
• Support follow up and closure of Supplier Non-Conformances (ad hoc).
• Escalate the issues that could impact business continuity and/or planning KPIs (ad hoc).
• Provide forecast to external suppliers (ad hoc).
• Request re-birth to the Quality team of raw materials close to expire (ad hoc).

You Bring

• 2 to 3 years of experience as Material Planner, Demand Planner or in the logistic area.
• Bachelor Degree (Titulado)
• Excel (pivot tables)
• SAP - desirable
• English and Spanish advanced
