Job summary

Mam de la Frontera, S.A. de C.V. in Baja California seeks an experienced Inventory Control Manager to ensure material flow for production and supervise warehouse operations. The role requires ERP/MRP expertise, BOM maintenance with engineering, and cross-functional leadership to sustain a continuous supply chain.

Strong English skills, APICS certification, and 3–5 years in inventory control are preferred as you optimize processes, audits, and SOP development to support manufacturing priorities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in inventory control.
• Advanced ERP experience with MRP.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills.
• Advanced English (reading and writing).
• APICS or Materials Management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures material flow to meet production requirements and supervises materials control staff.
• Maintains BOM and item data in ERP in collaboration with Engineering.
• Schedules deliveries based on forecasts and production needs.
• Audits material lists for standard practices and controls.
• Prepares requisitions to Purchasing for raw materials and parts.
• Manages MRP in ERP and expedites delays due to plan changes.
• Develops, updates, and enforces SOPs.
• Appraises subordinates and plans development.

Job description

• Assures the supply and the adequate flow of material to comply with the production requirements.
• Supervises the materials control staff and assigns tasks to ensure a continuous workflow
• Create and maintain with engineering all items and BOM in ERP system.
• Supervises the different warehouses and controls the flow of materials and finished goods.
• Schedules deliveries based on production forecasts, market conditions, material substitutions, production line as well as storage and handling capacities.
• Audits material lists for compliance to the company’s standard practices in regards to the use of parts and materials.
• Prepares and/or authorizes timely requisitions to the purchasing department for raw materials and parts.
• Manage MRP system within ERP system.
• Expedites purchases that are delayed or in response to changes in the production plan.
• Develops, modifies and maintains standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Appraises the performance of subordinates and recommends the appropriate development plans.

Requirements:

Education

• - Professional degree (Industrial Engineer or other Engineering degree) desirable with APICS Certification or a certificate program in Materials Management.

Experience

• - 3-5 within inventory control.

English-Advanced, reading and writing that allow for clear communication within the company and with outside customers.

Computer- Intermediate/Basic (Use of Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, Etc.)

Profile Musts Advanced ERP experience required with experience in MRP

3 to 5 Years experience inventory control; Proven cross functional leadership skills
