Formación

• Strong skills in toolmaking, precision fitting, assembly and repair of injection molds.
• Reading drawings, blueprints, and CAD models with understanding of tolerances and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience operating manual equipment (milling machines, lathes, grinders, EDM) in a toolroom or mold-making environment.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, mold construction, materials, and tooling defect root cause analysis.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with strong problem-solving abilities.

Role Description The Master Tool Maker is a full-time, on-site role based in Reynosa. This role is responsible for building, assembling, fitting, and repairing injection mold tools and related components to precise specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, operating manual machines (e.g., milling machines, lathes, grinders, EDM), performing adjustments and fine tuning of molds, and conducting preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in toolmaking, including precision fitting, machining, assembly, and repair of injection molds and related tooling.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models, with solid understanding of tolerances and geometric dimensioning.
• Hands-on experience operating manual equipment (e.g., milling machines, lathes, grinders, EDM) in a toolroom or mold-making environment.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, mold construction, materials, and root cause analysis for tooling-related defects.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work on-site, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage priorities in a high-demand production setting.
• Relevant technical education in toolmaking, machining, or mechanical disciplines, or equivalent hands-on experience in mold tooling.
• Experience in mentoring or guiding junior toolmakers and technicians is an advantage.
