A global aerospace and defense leader is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Mexicali. The role involves designing and optimizing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting product issues, and implementing solutions for improved productivity. Formación

  • 2+ years as a Manufacturing Engineer in a Metal Mechanic environment.
  • English advanced proficiency.
  • 1+ years as a Manufacturing Engineer in a New Product Introduction environment preferred.

Position Role Type: Unspecified

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, products, and equipment. The role includes troubleshooting process or product issues, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to ensure high quality and productivity. The Manufacturing Engineer will also recommend design approaches to support production requirements for new or enhanced products.

Responsibilities
  • Supports daily production activities by addressing process issues and assisting with technical solutions.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of standard work instructions, work orders, and visual aids.
  • Contributes to production planning, efficiency initiatives, and compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Apply basic engineering knowledge to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in equipment readiness efforts, process trials, and work area optimization.
  • Helps ensure that safety, ergonomics, and lean principles are incorporated into manufacturing solutions.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor degree in engineering.
  • 2+ years as ME in a Metal Mechanic environment.
  • English advanced
  • Temporary position for 1 year
  • 1st shift: 6:30 a.m. to 3:36 p.m.
  • Read and interpret specifications and engineering drawings/models.
  • Develop product manufacturing documentation/procedures (Such as standard work instructions, visual aids, trainings, set-up cards).
  • Engineering change implementation from concept to product validation
  • Train production personnel on product forming/assembly process and provides “on the floor” technical support as required.
  • Manufacturing operations sequence definition and BOM Creation
  • Standard tooling knowledge and tooling selection
  • Liaison with Design group for tooling design changes and/or product change
  • Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma tools usage
  • PPAP knowledge such as Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA
  • Industrial and CAPEX management knowledge
  • CATIA V5- 3D Models interpretation and cad drawing and assembly
  • Project management skills
Qualifications We Prefer
  • 1+ years as ME in a NPI environment.
  • Automotive or Aerospace industry.
