Role Definition:

Lead a group of Manufacturing Process Engineers to successfully comply with following general job requirements.

Design and Implement new manufacturing processes to support division growth with NPI (New Product Introductions) , Maintain existing production process running considering PQVC indicators, Coordinate and provide Layout Ideas for VST (Value Stream Transformations) and/or new Product Lines when needed, basic tool design concepting to effectively communicate needs to Tooling Design Department , ABC costing activities (coordination and analysis), Capital projects creation and management, CI and cost reduction projects leader.

What you will do:
  • This is a supervisory position responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation and business growth by providing tooling, processes, equipment, etc. needed and is done through coordination of a technical staff assigned to provide the needs of the shop operation.
  • Assignments include manufacturing processing, cost estimating (ABC), S&OP data analysis for Installed capacity management, layout, standard works, engineering changes management, NPI,NSI, CAPEX Management (when needed) , etc.
  • Incumbents have an assigned manufacturing/assembly area and through staff support provide tooling, machines and equipment to complete the operation. Coordinates the installation of new machines and equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts. Ensures optimum utilization of equipment and space by coordinating the layout of areas such as storage areas, test equipment, etc. to accommodate the changing production requirements. Coordinates release dates and availability of machines and equipment and material to maintain schedules and satisfy demand. Establishes standards and works with shop personnel to resolve problems related to process, tooling, equipment, etc. Ensures overall manufacturing process health according to PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity & Cost)
  • Plan factory layouts for effective utilization of space due to rearrangement, new processes or expansion, product process planning; develop and implement manufacturing processes in line with CPPD (Concurrent Process and Product Development) and NPI design changes, etc. Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties.
Skills you will have:
  • Collaborative Automation: Knowledge of techniques and processes of collaborative automation; ability to develop and deploy cobots to automate manufacturing processes.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA): Knowledge of techniques and processes of robotic process automation (RPA); ability to develop and deploy RPA solutions in various industries.
Basic Requirements:
  • University degree required in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering related field with experience in manufacturing assignments
  • At least five years in manufacturing related fields experience, requires a thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, welding processes, Lean Manufacturing, Takt Time Cycle Time Studies, Lead Continuous Improvement projects with DMAIC methodology, Layouts and tooling functionality and concepting ideas to Implement best in class reliable manufacturing processes.
  • English Intermediate
Top candidates will also have:
  • Master’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Quality Tools, GD&T, and problem-solving methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • APQP experience.
Additional Information:
  • Travel: Up to 5% of the time.
  • Availability to work in shifts.
