Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide support and guidance on production, costs, quality, safety compliance, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.

You will identify and implement equipment and process enhancements, monitor reliability, analyze engineering change notices, and support planning, operation, and maintenance of equipment and processes. The position emphasizes collaboration and problem-solving in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 80% English level, written and oral communication.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Machining processes including turning, milling, multi-axis and grinding.
  • Experience in leading improvement projects related to Machining.
  • Knowledgeable and experience with Project Management critical path driven.
  • Negotiation with Customers and prioritization skills.
  • Provides effective communication and services in solving production problems or pursuing operations improvements
  • Proficient with Geometric Tolerancing and 1E specs
  • Machining background and proficiency with offline programming

Responsibilities

  • Documents relevant standards, policies and practices.
  • Follows standard manufacturing processes to conduct production activities.
