KEMET de México seeks a Manufacturing Engineer at its Guadalupe, NL plant to drive continuous improvement and optimize manufacturing processes. The role focuses on eliminating waste, improving process performance, and supporting productivity, quality, and cost objectives on a full-time, on-site basis.

The candidate will analyze process performance, resolve manufacturing issues, and coordinate manufacturing systems with strong English communication, solid organizational skills, and experience

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
• Advanced English level and excellent communication skills are essential.
• Strong organization, management, and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Power BI.
• Familiarity with Lean tools: Heijunka, SMED, TPM.
• Knowledge of Core tools: Control Plan, FMEA, Process Flow.

• Develop systems to maintain high manufacturing and product quality.
• Ensure processes, equipment, and products meet safety standards.
• Coordinate and improve manufacturing systems across the plant (5S, Visual Factory, Gemba Walks).
• Maintain documentation and prepare performance reports.
• Communicate project results to all levels within the organization.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to achieve goals.

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for improving operational performance by identifying and eliminating waste, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role analyzes process performance, resolves technical manufacturing issues, and supports productivity, quality, and cost objectives. This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Guadalupe, NL plant.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing environment to improve process utilization, labor variance.
• Generate systems to maintain high levels of manufacturing and product quality.
• Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards.
• Key responsibility is to coordinate and improve current Manufacturing systems throughout the plant (5s, Visual Factory, Gemba Walks).
• Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports.
• Communicate project results to all levels.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve business objectives.
