Corning Incorporated is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines for manufacturing and AI/ML applications. You will work with Python, SQL, and modern data platforms to deliver clean datasets for analytics and decision support.

The role emphasizes collaboration with manufacturing teams, analysts, data scientists, and IT partners to ensure reliable data and scalable solutions, with a hybrid work model in Mexico (Monterrey or Reynosa).

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• At least 1 year of data engineering or related data-focused experience.
• At least 2 years of programming with Python and strong SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, SparkSQL, or comparable tech.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). AWS experience preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build, test, and support ETL/ELT pipelines for manufacturing, operational, and business data.
• Develop clean, production-ready datasets for reporting, analytics, and AI/ML.
• Implement automated data-quality checks, validation rules, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support cloud data-platform operations, pipeline performance, and documentation.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions.
