Kidde Global Solutions in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico, seeks a Cost Accountant Manager to lead cost accounting, inventory controls, and month-end closes in a manufacturing setting, partnering with the Plant Controller and Finance Director.

This role emphasizes accuracy of financial information, variance analysis, audits, and continuous improvement, with a focus on safety and compliance within a global fire and life safety leader.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance and/or accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively in meetings and written correspondence.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and analyze weekly inventory and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reports.
• Develop quarterly excess and obsolete inventory reserve analyses.
• Review and approve inventory adjustments related to discrepancies, engineering changes, obsolescence, and other inventory-related transactions.
• Authorize the appropriate use of general ledger accounts for manual journal entries.
• Support the review and financial impact analysis of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Prepare, review, and analyze month-end journal entries.
• Consolidate, analyze, and explain financial results during the monthly closing process.
• Lead the preparation and consolidation of annual standard costs.
• Monitor, analyze, and control manufacturing costs to ensure operational efficiency.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• Oversee inventory adjustments, cycle count programs, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Perform monthly indirect material cost adjustments.
