Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. in Tijuana, MX seeks a Facilities Coordinator to manage building operations, safety, and maintenance across offices and labs. You will lead projects with contractors and ensure compliant facilities support.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree and at least six years in facilities coordination, with strong problem-solving, record-keeping, and computer skills. CMMS experience is preferred. This role includes onsite responsibilities and multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• At least six years of facilities coordination and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance methods and techniques.
• Ability to resolve problems on a timely basis.
• Ability to work with people at all levels and function as a team.
• Knowledge of safety related issues and principles.
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
• Demonstrated computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, databases).
• CMMS software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating job performance, and scheduling within the department.
• Lead projects on new construction and coordinate with outside contractors.
• Collect and store information on facility blueprints.
• Coordinate HVAC maintenance and respond to complaints.
• Advise management on hazardous communication issues and maintain records.
• Prepare facilities maintenance reports for corporate use.
• Coordinate with divisions for equipment installation and movement.
• Perform duties to ensure facilities safety and targets are met.

Essential Functions Performed

• Manages department personnel by interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating job performance, disciplining, scheduling work and other related responsibilities.
• Project leader on new construction projects and plans, and coordinates with outside contractors regarding construction needs.
• Collects and stores information on facility blueprints.
• Coordinates the maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning of offices and facilities and resolves complaints as they occur.
• Advises and consults with managerial and supervisory staff regarding hazardous communication issues and maintains records.
• Prepares facilities maintenance reports for corporate use.
• Responds to requests for assistance from other departments, attempting to meet the needs described on a timely basis.
• Coordinates and responds to divisions within Merit for installation and movement of equipment for building electrical, plumbing, compressed air, or any other utility needs.
• Performs a variety of related duties to ensure that facilities are maintained and that safety goals are achieved, as required.

Summary Of Minimum Qualifications

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in a related field.

• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of an organization and function as a team member.
• Knowledge of safety related issues and principles.
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
• Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

• CMMS software application experience.
