TheManager, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, is responsible for directing the day-to-day execution of the COE strategy. TheManager, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, participates in the creation of strategy and operating plans with other management and executive technical leadership stakeholders and directs and guides activities of staff to accomplish functional objectives and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of their engineering function.
- Manages the day-to-day aspects of a team of mechanical and electrical engineers and technicians.
- Executing electrical power and control systems design activities for the ES team.
- Coordinates design activities for PCB design and manufacture as well as testing and maintaining prototype availability for exploration industrial control panel/R&D, design verification, outside agency testing.
- Authoring test procedures and design/maintain test equipment and coordinating with outside vendors to procure this equipment.
- Train new product engineers on assisting PTS (product technical support) and factory with emergent end‑of‑line test failures and field problems.
- Assist global product development teams with design reviews.
- Participate with VP Engineering and Director of Offering Management in product roadmap development.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to design teams
- Ensure that projects stay on schedule and meet technical and business requirements
- Enforce adherence to industry codes and practices, such as UL508a and NEC
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSME) or directly related degree.
- Prior supervisory experience is required, including Manager experience as well as People Management responsibility.
- Experience developing design using EPLAN software.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in developing Electrical parts and assemblies coupled with supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability using applicable engineering modeling tools.
- Technical knowledge of content primarily related to Electrical and Mechanical design.
