Amazon Inc. is seeking an experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to lead a team of technicians across multiple sites in Mexico.

The role focuses on safety, coaching, and optimizing equipment availability through preventative maintenance and strict adherence to processes. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, coordinating with the larger network to implement engineering solutions, and supporting safety and compliance programs with Site Leadership.

Formación

• 3+ years of maintenance or engineering experience in automated material handling or high-speed manufacturing.
• Experience adhering to health and safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• 3+ years of people management experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, support and mentor the team to work safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the network to apply technical expertise and develop solutions.
• Assist the Reliability Engineering Manager with safety programs and compliance audits.
• Ensure preventative maintenance targets are met to maximize equipment availability.
• Organize training to maintain adequate shift coverage and team readiness.
• Coordinate local projects or MX-level initiatives as assigned.
• Be available for shift work to stay connected with the team and operations.

Maintenance Area Manager, Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering - IntlRME

We are looking for motivated, customer-focused people who want to join our team as a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager. The Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager is the line manager for a team of engineering technicians. They maintain the focus on safety by training, developing and coaching their team. They deliver a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and procedures are followed.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead, support and mentor the team, ensuring they are working in a safe, standard and efficient manner.


• Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.


• Support the Reliability Engineering Manager as they work with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to


• Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.


• Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts they own by organizing and directing the training program for the team.


• Organize local projects or support MX level projects as assigned by the manager.


• Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance or engineering experience, or experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing


• Experience working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations


• Experience in computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• Bachelor's degree


• 3+ years of people management experience


• Experience in oral and written communication in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in PLC based controls design, development, implementation and support


• Experience with project management


• Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing, or 2+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System program experience


• Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Process


• Professional Engineering registration, or experience at Amazon
