Kyndryl is seeking a senior Mainframe Coupling Facility expert in Mexico City to design, deploy, and optimize CF environments within IBM mainframe infrastructures, ensuring high availability and performance for mission-critical systems.

You will lead CF implementation and administration, collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with GDPS IBM mainframe technologies, mentor teammates, and drive automation and standardization across mainframe platforms at Kyndryl.

• 5+ years of experience in IBM mainframe environments with deep expertise in Coupling Facility implementation and administration.
• Proven experience leading incident management, major recovery activities, and driving automation and standardization initiatives.
• Demonstrated subject‑matter expertise in at least one mainframe platform.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and leading cross‑functional projects.

The Role

As a Mainframe Coupling Facility Implementation at Kyndryl, you’ll be a subject matter expert responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing Coupling Facility (CF) environments within enterprise IBM mainframe infrastructures. In this role, you will ensure high availability, resilience, and performance for mission‑critical systems that support complex business operations.

You will lead the implementation and ongoing administration of Coupling Facility environments, working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration with GDPS IBM mainframe technologies. Your expertise will help strengthen system stability, improve recovery capabilities, and drive continuous improvement.

As a senior engineer, you will also play a key role in mentoring team members, promoting best practices, and advancing automation and standardization across mainframe platforms at Kyndryl.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Intermediate English proficiency for technical documentation, global collaboration, and incident communication.
• Advanced knowledge of GDPR IBM Mainframe technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as JCL, Unix shell, PowerShell, or SQL.
