CIMMYT (International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center) is seeking an Assistant Research Associate in Mexico to support planning and execution of research activities, enhance data capture formats, and improve distribution processes. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Agronomy, Biosciences or related fields, or equivalent years of work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles under plants breeding, seed science and crops science.
• Knowledge of international research standards, including FAO, Genesys or ISO.
• Intermediate English (B2).
• Intermediate MS Office skills.

• Manage research activities related to germplasm introduction, regeneration, processing, conservation, and distribution.
• Carry on the Germplasm Bank’s technical, logistical, documentation, and training operations.
• Supervise and apply rigorous quality control to passport, characterization, and evaluation data.
• Support the review of internal and external audits by documenting findings, nonconformities and corrective actions.
• Facilitate guided visits and awareness-raising activities.
