Job summary

BMW Group in San Luis Potosí, Mexico is seeking an experienced Logistics Systems & SAP Advanced Specialist to maintain SAP Proton Goods Receipt processes and coordinate IT-enabled logistics changes. This role interfaces with local operations, project teams and central IT to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Information Systems, or a comparable field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Physical Logistics or IT-supported logistics processes.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP logistics processes and Yard Management or comparable systems.
• Experience in SAP Key User activities, incident management, process analysis, testing, implementation, and user support.
• Strong interest in digitalization, automation, data analytics, and AI in logistics.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Independent, structured, results-oriented work style with ownership.
• Fluent business English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stable operation and continuous development of SAP Proton Goods Receipt processes and the Internal Management System within Physical Logistics.
• Act as the key interface between local operations, project teams, process owners, and central IT, coordinating incidents, process changes, testing, training, and sustainable issue resolution.
• Safeguard material flow continuity and production supply by proactively managing system and process risks.
• Functionally coordinate logistics system implementations and business-critical projects.
• Drive Physical Logistics digitalization through automation, data analytics, and AI-based solutions that increase efficiency, transparency, process stability, and cost competitiveness.
• Translate operational requirements into scalable digital solutions, implementation roadmaps, and measurable improvement initiatives.
• Represent Physical Logistics in IT-related matters and support users through documentation, training, and structured change management.

What should you bring along?

• Advanced knowledge of SAP logistics processes and experience with Yard Management or comparable systems.

• Experience in SAP Key User activities, incident management, process analysis, testing, implementation, and user support.

• Strong interest or experience in digitalization, automation, data analytics, and AI applications in logistics.

• Strong project coordination, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Independent, structured, and results-oriented working style with a high level of ownership.
