Location: El Salto, Jalisco

Job Objective

Direct, manage and coordinate the logistics engineering team. Supervising and executing the design, implementation, optimization and training of medium‑complexity plant‑related material and information flow projects, processes and concepts along the supply chain, considering a total cost approach.

Duties and Responsibilities

Logistics Process Optimization

• Execute the design and optimization of medium‑complexity logistics processes along the supply chain in agreement with the superior responsible based on given targets.
• Support the budget planning process in logistics.
• Execute the optimization and simplification of medium‑complexity material flow concepts and processes for successful application as well as system improvement of SAP logistics modules.
• Supervise packaging planning within medium‑complexity supply chains, including the supervision of the development of best‑practice packaging engineering solutions (concepts and processes).
• Safeguard the appropriate execution of logistics ramp‑ups and engineering changes during the product lifecycle according to corporate standards, including escalation management and coordination with other functions.
• Direct and manage the continuous improvement in all logistics material and information flow processes along the supply chain according to costs, quality and customer requirements.
• Execute the creation and negotiation of logistics offers with customers, suppliers and service providers.

IT Processes, Tools and Interfaces

• Supervise and execute the description of medium‑complexity target process specifications for linking material flow concepts with the connected information flows.
• Prepare methods, policies and tools for the optimization of planning processes inside the logistics engineering team and tracking of key performance indicators in agreement with the superior responsible.
• Identify, drive and manage the selection and optimization of logistics infrastructure, equipment, packaging concepts and IT solutions.

Project Management

• Supervise and execute the management of medium‑complexity logistics projects from technical and organizational perspective along the supply chain and product lifecycle.
• Define, plan, coordinate and monitor medium‑complexity projects for the area of responsibility, including internal and external personnel capacity planning.
• Define and continuously monitor project success regarding time, budget and output quality and drive the execution of defined actions.
• Negotiate general logistics conditions with suppliers, service providers and customers (e.g., JIT/JIS processes, turnaround periods, packaging).
• Align all ongoing projects and activities with relevant business process owners and functions.
• Execute problem solving and escalation for occurring deviations.
• Support and contribute on overarching activities and initiatives.

Leadership

• Deploy employees in accordance with their qualifications within the relevant structure. Instruct and support employees in a target‑oriented and motivating manner to fulfill the tasks.
• Guide, instruct and support employees in function‑related tasks.
• Participate in hiring process and take responsibility to sustain the team performance and evaluation as well as qualification demands.

Qualifications
