Job Objective

Supervise and optimize sales and demand planning execution in a high complexity plant operation, focused on attaining the required internal / external customer service within specified resource constraints and cooperating in regional and global projects in logistics networks, implementing new standards, methods or processes together with global or regional management.

Duties and Responsibilities

A Sales Scheduling / Demand Planning

• Supervise and optimize sales and demand planning execution in a high complexity plant operation, focused on attaining the required internal / external customer service within specified resource constraints.
• Responsible to continuously improve the sales and demand planning process.
• Direct and manage the maintenance of master data.
• Supervise the first level support for sales and demand planning.
• Supervise all knowledge transfer connected to the sales and demand planning process.
• Track the achievement of sales and demand planning target KPIs and trigger countermeasures in case of deviations.
• Supervise all sales and demand planning activities, continuously track and manage occurring changes.
• Safeguard that all sales and demand planners fulfill the required tasks according to corporate standards and trigger trainings to close related competence gaps.
• Build‑up and maintain all required capabilities and competences to execute a first level support for all sales and demand planning related issues.
• Responsible to direct sales and demand planners to attain required master data quality for standard production planning use cases.
• Ensure and trigger continuous improvement within the sales and demand planning process and supervise the implementation of improvements according to corporate standards, including documentation of changes.
• Align all sales and demand planning activities within plant logistics and across other related functions in the plant as well as in corporate logistics.
• Especially align with material management, production planning, reviewing customer orders, production capabilities and material availability.
• Manage sales and demand planning exceptions and facilitate the generation of viable solutions and initiate logistic escalation if necessary.
• Assumption of KPI responsibility.
• Cooperation / project management in the context of regional and global projects in logistics networks.
• Ensure global standards.

B Project Management

• Management and project lead for high complexity logistics projects from technical and organizational perspective including rollout and sustainable implementation of corporate standard processes.
• Defining, planning, coordinating and monitoring tasks within project teams by using defined methods and systems.
• Preparing and further development of concepts for improving recording, analysis, modelling, presentation and management of process‑related data.
• Continuous monitoring of project success regarding time, budget and output quality and driving execution of defined actions.
• Coaching and training the project team and/or triggering additional trainings.
• Negotiating general logistics conditions with suppliers, service providers and customers.

C Leadership

• Deploying employees according to their qualifications within the relevant structure. Instructing and supporting employees in a target‑oriented and motivating manner to fulfill the tasks.
• Guiding, instructing and supporting employees in function‑related tasks.
• Responsible to sustain the team performance and evaluation as well as qualification demands.
