Role Summary:

At Fictiv, we're building a company that is developing an operating system for sourcing custom mechanical parts. We already enjoy manufacturing and delivering highly complex, high quality parts for our Fortune 500 customers who are building the future with products like autonomous electric vehicles, surgical systems, and industrial robots. As we scale our business, we are looking to expand our growth within Mexico.

Your role as a Logistics Analyst will be to support our critical manufacturing functions. We have two sets of customers-our builders, who order parts through us, and our manufacturing partners, who manufacture and assemble these parts-and you'll take the inputs from our builders and work with our manufacturing partners to deliver on our builders' expectations. At Fictiv, we believe in creating and empowering product innovators to create, and you'll be playing a critical role in making that happen.

In this role, you'll be using excellent attention to detail and logistics experience to schedule and create daily shipments and exports from Mexico, based out of our Santa Catarina, Nuevo León office.

Areas of Responsibility: Essential Functions

• Supports the coordination of import/export of shipments to/from Mexico to our customers in the United States.
• Monitor transit of cargo to ensure delivery and resolve delivery problems as needed.
• Respond to shipping complaints, customs delays, and damages.
• Partner with transportation integrators, freight forwarders, and other private companies to ensure efficiency of shipment deliveries.
• Partner with Fictiv's manufacturing partners to ensure on-time shipment and export of our orders to our customers.
• As necessary, provide international freight quotes to our Costing team and other team members in the organization.
• Responsible for the creation and review of shipping documents and coordinating booking, pickup arrangements, creation of shipping documents, and all the necessary operations of handling a shipment with a freight forwarder.
• Identify opportunities for and implement change to realize cost savings for Fictiv and its customers.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures.
• Perform other logistics-related tasks as indicated by the team.
• All employees are expected to maintain and contribute to the QMS.

Desired Traits: Distinguished skills, abilities, features, character, and quality

• Up to 2 years of experience with increasing levels of logistics within Mexico logistics
• Understanding of Mexico's export requirements
• Understanding of logistics processes and customer service
• Experience in vendor oversight and managing external partnerships and relations is preferred
• You are meticulous and detail-oriented, and you have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong communication skills including advanced business English
• Google Drive and Mac OS preferred
• Advanced MS Excel experience

Physical Demands

• Travel: Ability to travel 10% annually in the region for team meetings, offsites, etc.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
