You will analyze events, perform root cause analyses, and recommend solutions aligned with best practices to improve plant reliability and efficiency.

Formación

• 8+ years in LNG industry with operations or process engineering.
• Experience with cryogenic systems, commissioning, startup and steady-state operations.

Responsabilidades

• Act as LNG Process SME, providing support to resolve complex deviations and out-of-design conditions.
• Lead RCA and issue technical recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Drive process optimization for energy efficiency, stability and reliability.
• Advise Operations on real-time technical decisions during risk scenarios.
• Interpret LNG process designs and ensure alignment with field execution.
• Review operating procedures to reflect best practices and conditions.
• Support MOC by assessing technical impacts of changes.
• Monitor critical variables, identify trends and risks.
• Participate in PHA, HAZOP and LOPA reviews with operational insight.
• Contribute to PSM by identifying risks and strengthening safeguards.
• Ensure safe, efficient startup/shutdown/ load-change operations.
• Serve as liaison between Operations, Maintenance and other disciplines.
• Support LNG process training programs and competency development.
• Participate in SASISOPA safety and compliance initiatives.

Responsible for serving as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for LNG processes, providing specialized guidance to resolve operational deviations, optimize process performance, and strengthen operational discipline across the site. Through technical analysis of operational events, root cause identification, and the recommendation of solutions aligned with industry best practices, this role contributes to the stability, reliability, and efficiency of plant operations. Works closely with Operations, Engineering, and the Production team to bridge gaps between design intent, standards, and field execution, ensuring the effective application of technical knowledge in daily operations while facilitating decision-making in complex operating conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Act as the LNG Process Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing specialized support to resolve complex operational deviations and out-of-design conditions.
• Analyze operational events, process deviations, and unplanned shutdowns, leading Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and issuing technical recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Identify and drive process optimization initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency, operational stability, and plant reliability.
• Advise Operations personnel in real-time technical decision-making, particularly during risk scenarios, operational transitions, or abnormal operating conditions.
• Support the proper interpretation and application of LNG process and system design philosophies in daily operations.
• Review and enhance operating procedures to ensure alignment with industry best practices and actual operating conditions.
• Support the Management of Change (MOC) process by assessing technical impacts related to process modifications, equipment changes, and operating conditions.
• Monitor the performance of critical process variables, identifying trends, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in key technical reviews such as PHA, HAZOP, and LOPA studies, providing practical operational expertise and insight into dynamic process conditions.
• Contribute to Process Safety Management (PSM) by identifying risks, validating safeguards, and strengthening operational discipline.
• Ensure operational practices reflect safe and efficient standards, particularly during critical operations such as startups, shutdowns, load changes, and upset conditions.
• Serve as a technical liaison between Operations, Maintenance, and other disciplines, ensuring operational alignment and consistency.
• Support training programs from a technical perspective, contributing to the development of LNG process competencies among operations personnel.
• Actively participate in the Industrial Safety, Operational Safety, and Environmental Protection Management System (SASISOPA), promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related discipline). Exposure to LNG or Oil & Gas industry operations is highly valued.
• Advanced English.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of direct experience in the LNG industry, with involvement in operations, process engineering, or specialized technical support within liquefaction facilities. Must demonstrate proven experience in process analysis, operational troubleshooting, and performance optimization of highly complex cryogenic systems.
• Relevant participation in critical asset lifecycle stages, including commissioning, startup, ramp-up, and steady-state operations, with exposure to dynamic operating conditions, management of operational deviations, and technical decision-making in high-performance industrial environments.

Preferred

• Demonstrated experience in LNG plants or complex cryogenic facilities, including commissioning, ramp-up, and steady-state operations.
