FedEx in Oaxaca, Mexico is seeking a warehouse associate to support reception of products and fulfillment of customer orders through efficient operating processes. You will ensure that customer materials are in optimal condition and delivered on time.

The role requires lifting up to 55 lbs, operating warehouse equipment with proper training, and maintaining accuracy in paperwork and records. You will work variable shifts in a team-focused environment, upholding safety policies and quality

Formación

  • Middle School degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic English skills required.
  • General knowledge of warehouse, packaging and inventories.
  • Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs (25 kg) and to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs (68 kg) with appropriate equipment.
  • Must be able to work variable shifts.
  • Attention to detail, planning and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

  • Provides efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages.
  • Checks packages for proper labeling, weight/size, wrapping, insurance values, and hazmat requirements.
  • Prepares paperwork for pickup and delivery (airway bills, records, vehicle condition).
  • Loads and unloads packages; operates forklifts if certified.
  • Audits size and weight; ensures safety compliance.
  • Seeks additional business; passes leads to Sales Manager.
  • Informs operations and sales of changes in customer/competitor efforts.
  • May fulfill physical orders using handheld, scanner, and PC (WMS/Excel).
  • Performs value-added tasks such as product reviews, kit assembly, labeling, packaging.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Involves support in the reception of products and fulfillment of customer orders through operational processes, to ensure that customer material is in optimal condition at the required time.

General Job Description
  • Provides efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages.
  • Checks packages to ensure that proper labeling, legality of content including weight and size, proper wrapping, insurance values, and special requirements for hazardous material shipments.
  • Provides necessary paperwork relating to the pickup and delivery of packages, such as airway bills, delivery records, vehicle condition, etc. with neatness and accuracy.
  • Seeks additional business from current customers, if unsuccessful, passes lead to Sales Manager.
  • Informs Station Ops. Manager and Sales of changes in customer/competitor efforts.
  • Loads company vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Audits size and weight of packages and boxes and sorts.
  • Ensures the use of safety equipment and full compliance with FedEx safety policies, procedures, norms, rules and practices.
  • Operates company vehicles in a safe and secure manner and performs basic maintenance (clean, washing, tire pressure, etc).
  • Supports in the unloading of customer merchandise, in bulk or on pallet, separating and physically validating (quality and quantity), and palletizing the product when needed.
  • Arranges the product on the racks with the help of the Skid or Forklift (the use of forklifts is only for certified employees).
  • May fulfill physical orders through work tools such as: handheld, scanner and PC (WMS and/or Excel).
  • Performs value-added work such as: product review, kit assembly, labeling, packaging, among others.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education
  • Middle School degree/Equivalent preferred
  • Basic English Skills
Minimum Experience
  • General knowledge of warehouse, packaging, inventories
  • Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment preferred
Minimum Required Skills
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs. (25 kg) and to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs. (68 kgs) with appropriate equipment
  • Must be able to work variable shifts
  • General vehicle maintenance a plus and power and hand tools experience preferred
  • Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and Math sections of the Basic Skills Test
