American Airlines is seeking an aircraft mechanic for its Cancun operations. The role covers skilled aviation maintenance, troubleshooting, disassembly, inspection, repair, testing, and servicing to maintain airworthiness of aircraft and components during service, overhaul or modification.

The position requires English proficiency, an FAA license or FCC license if applicable, and the ability to work rotating shifts, inclusive of weekends and holidays, with a valid US visa and driver’s license.

Formación

• Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and understand English and native language
• High school diploma required
• Valid driver's license, 3 years of relevant experience
• Airframe and power plant license and/or FCC license if applicable
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off
• FAA licensed and valid US visa required

Responsabilidades

• Certifies own workmanship quality and signs off on work performed
• Chases own parts when stock not available
• May supervise other aviation maintenance personnel
• Work according to FAA and company regulations and supervisor instructions
• Complete forms related to work assignments per procedures
• Communicate with company personnel as required
• Perform additional duties such as windshield cleaning, ground power connections, push/tow aircraft, and related guide duties
