Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Especialista en Gerencia de Proyectos de Hidrocarburos to lead capital projects in the energy sector from its Mexicali base. The role demands strategic planning, robust execution, and delivery within time and budget constraints.

The ideal candidate has extensive project management experience in hydrocarbons, strong leadership, and proficiency with PMI/Agile methodologies and tools such as MS Project or Primavera.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or related field).
• Master's degree or PMP certification is desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive project management experience in hydrocarbons or energy sector.
• Proven track record managing complex capital projects from conception to completion.
• understanding of PM principles and tools (PMI, Agile).
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of hydrocarbon projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, budgets, timelines, and resources.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Manage risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor progress, report KPIs and status to senior management.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance throughout the lifecycle.
