Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Specialist for our client, a major airline operator, at our Saltillo hub. You will oversee maintenance programs, ensure airworthiness, reliability, and safety for the assigned fleet.

The role requires leadership, collaboration with engineering, regulatory bodies, and vendors, and meticulous management of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to minimize flight disruption, while upholding strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or fleet management within the aviation industry
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, and maintenance procedures
• Understanding of aviation regulations and airworthiness standards
• Proven troubleshooting experience with complex aircraft issues
• Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using maintenance information systems and related software
• Desirable certifications (e.g., A&P license, type ratings)

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive maintenance programs for assigned aircraft fleet
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, manufacturer recommendations, and regulatory requirements (e.g., DGAC, FAA, EASA)
• Oversee scheduled maintenance, component replacements, and major repairs/overhauls
• Manage unscheduled maintenance events, ensuring rapid troubleshooting and resolution
• Coordinate with engineering for technical support, modifications, and ADs implementation
• Monitor aircraft technical logs and maintenance records for accuracy and completeness
• Manage spare parts inventory and logistics related to fleet maintenance
• Liaise with external maintenance providers and vendors to ensure quality and timely service
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, reliability issues, and areas for improvement
• Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and engineers
