Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Cleaning and Sanitation Team Supervisor for our Cancún operations. You will lead a team of cleaning staff, develop schedules, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across guest areas and back-of-house operations.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is expected, with training and uniform provisions provided.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in cleaning or hospitality.
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical usage.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations (HACCP, OSHA where applicable).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning and sanitation staff.
• Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures for all areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
• Enforce health, safety, and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
• Address guest or staff concerns related to cleanliness and sanitation promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other department managers to coordinate cleaning activities and support overall operations.
• Prepare reports on team performance, inventory, and cleaning activities as required.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of cleaning equipment.
