Jabil in Mexico leads the design and execution of automation projects across mechanical, electronics, electrical, and software domains. The Lead Automation Design Engineer directs a team of design engineers to ensure specifications, planning, and installation are completed within budget and on schedule.

The role requires 8–10 years of experience in automation equipment design, with expert knowledge spanning mechanical/electronics/electrical and software applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in automation equipment design and installation.
• B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge across mechanical, electronics, electrical and software application engineering.

Responsabilités

• Lead a group of Automation Design Engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Review and approve design drawings, manuals, and installation documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Manager/Engineer to align timelines and budgets.
• Ensure requirements are integrated into automation equipment designs.
• Oversee design reviews focusing on manufacturability and reliability.
• Log engineering time to JP2 against projects.
