BRP seeks a qualified lawyer to support its Mexico and LATAM operations. The role focuses on labor, corporate and commercial law, providing day-to-day advice and practical counsel across BRP’s legal entities worldwide.

The candidate will collaborate with multiple departments and manage complex contracts in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate has a law degree (Master’s preferred in corporate law), 5+ years of experience, and strong bilingual skills in Spanish and English.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s preferred in corporate law
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
• Knowledge of Mexican civil, mercantile and labor legislation
• Experience drafting and reviewing contracts
• Experience providing labor counseling
• Ability to translate legal concepts into practical advice
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments under tight timeframes

Responsabilidades

• Structure, draft, review and analyze agreements, contracts and legal documents
• Provide accurate and timely counsel
• Collaborate with management to devise defense strategies
• Respond to comments, ensuring contractual terms reflect requirements
• Collaborate with legal, HR and purchasing teams to align projects with proprieties
• Stay current with industry trends and Mexican legal landscape
• Update standard agreements, templates and tools
• Research and evaluate risk factors
• Maintain knowledge of legislative changes
• Support other BRP commercial practice areas as needed

Job Purpose

This role will work with the Mexico’s legal department to provide high quality legal support to BRP’s legal entities worldwide mainly in the labor, corporate and commercial law. The role will involve providing essential legal support and day-to-day advice across the operations in Mexico and LATAM. This job is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer to join a dynamic company.

Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Master’s preferred in areas related to corporate law
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of civil, mercantile and labor Mexican legislation
• Experience drafting and reviewing contracts
• Experience providing labor counseling
• Ability to translate legal concepts into practical, actionable advice
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple work assignments under tight timeframes

Key Responsibilities

• Structuring, drafting, reviewing and analyzing agreements, contracts and other legal documents
• Give accurate and timely counsel
• Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies
• Responding to external/internal comments while ensuring required legal terms are reflected in a contract
• Collaborating with peers and leaders in legal, HR and purchase departments to ensure project and deal outcomes align with proprieties
• Understanding and staying current with industry trends and the legal and regulatory landscape of the business
• Monitoring and assisting in revising and updating standard agreements, templates and tools for our internal business partners
• Research and evaluate different risk factors
• Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
• Supporting other commercial practice areas within BRP as the need may arise since BRP is constantly evolving
