LIXIL Water Technology Americas is seeking a senior operations leader to drive the Lean transformation across its manufacturing plant focused on ceramic processes. You will maximize OEE, reduce waste, and cut costs through strategic deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.

The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing with hands-on experience in process optimization, TPM, SMED, VSM, and change management, plus strong leadership and communication skills to energize teams.

Formación

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials/Ceramics Engineering.
  • Experience: 8+ years in continuous or discrete manufacturing, with 4–5 years leading continuous improvement or Lean initiatives in ceramic, glass, cement, or heavy thermal/chemical processing environments.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, SMED, and VSM; thermal processes, pressing, slip/glaze rheology, and industrial automation; Minitab and SAP familiarity.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the overall Lean transformation strategy, process optimization, and continuous improvement culture across the manufacturing plant.
  • Maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), eliminate waste (Muda), and reduce operational costs across ceramic processes.
  • Kaizen & Methodologies: Facilitate VSM, TPM, 5S, SMED, and A3/Problem Solving workshops.
  • Standardization & Visual Management: Establish Standard Work and Visual Management standards on the shop floor.
  • Change Management & Training: Build Lean/Six Sigma capabilities across all plant levels to drive proactive problem‑solving culture.
  • KPI Management: Track and report key metrics including OEE, scrap reduction, cycle times, and hard cost savings.

Overview
Responsibilities

Lead the overall Lean transformation strategy, process optimization, and continuous improvement culture across the manufacturing plant. Maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), eliminate waste (Muda), and reduce operational costs across critical ceramic processes, including body preparation, pressing/casting, glazing, continuous kiln firing, and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Deployment (Hoshin Kanri): Define and execute the Operational Excellence roadmap aligned with plant goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Ceramic Process Optimization: Lead waste‑reduction projects targeting scrap (green/fired breakage, glazing defects, shade/caliber variations) and optimize energy consumption in thermal operations (dryers and kilns).
  • Kaizen & Methodologies: Facilitate VSM (Value Stream Mapping), TPM, 5S, SMED (for rapid mold, format, and glaze changeovers), and A3/Problem Solving workshops.
  • Standardization & Visual Management: Establish Standard Work and Visual Management standards on the shop floor to maintain precise thermal, rheological, and mechanical process parameters.
  • Change Management & Training: Build Lean/Six Sigma capabilities across all plant levels (from leadership to operators) to drive a proactive problem‑solving culture.
  • KPI Management: Track and report key metrics including OEE, scrap reduction, cycle times, Autonomous Maintenance compliance, and hard cost savings.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials/Ceramics Engineering.
  • Experience: 8+ years in continuous or discrete manufacturing, with at least 4–5 years leading continuous improvement or Lean initiatives in ceramic, glass, cement, or heavy thermal/chemical processing environments.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced mastery of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, SMED, and VSM.
    • Practical understanding of thermal processes, pressing, slip/glaze rheology, and industrial automation.
    • Proficiency in statistical software (Minitab) and ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Soft Skills: Influencing leadership, change management, strategic vision, strong communication across all organizational levels, and result‑oriented mindset.
