Hitachi Energy Productos de Mexico in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, is seeking a Project Engineer Lead to drive equipment delivery for large-scale capital projects from concept to startup.

You will own the equipment workstream, ensuring assets are specified, procured, installed, commissioned, and handed over safely and effectively while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Construction, HSE, and Supply Chain.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Significant experience leading equipment scope within large-scale manufacturing or capital projects.
  • Proven expertise in equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and contractor management.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment systems, facility integration, manufacturing processes, and HSE requirements.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners in a complex project environment.
  • Excellent project management, risk management, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead equipment strategy, specification development, procurement, installation, and operational handover for major capital projects.
  • Drive safety-by-design principles throughout the equipment lifecycle, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and best practices.
  • Manage equipment scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and supplier performance to achieve project objectives.
  • Coordinate equipment integration with facility infrastructure, utilities, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Lead contractor selection, installation planning, and on-site execution to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and startup readiness activities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and support successful production ramp-up.
  • Champion continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned and standardizing best practices across projects.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
