OPmobility in Monterrey seeks an experienced Site Engineering & Development Lead Optical Engineer to drive front-foot automotive lighting projects from concept to serial production. You will lead optical development, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and present to customers and suppliers.
The role requires a Master/ Bachelor in optics or physics, 3–5 years in automotive lighting, strong CATIA/Light Tools skills, leadership on optical concepts, and hands-on contribution to project
Formación
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in optics or physics.
- English level C1 or higher.
- 3–5 years in automotive lighting development for front main functions.
- Leadership experience in optical concept development (at least 2 instances).
- Proficient with CATIA, Light Tools, rendering software, GOM Inspect and MS Office.
Responsabilidades
- Fulfil project objectives with robust, verified, and reliable products on time, within quality and cost constraints.
- Propose and supervise optical systems development based on customer requirements and profitability.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to implement best compromises and share know-how.
- Prepare and present to customers and suppliers; negotiate solutions for requirements.
- Ensure timely handover of results at milestones (prototypes, data releases).
- Review optical systems at major milestones and drive updates for feasibility and robustness.
- Coordinate builds for customer presentations and verification samples.
- Analyze first-shot quality and support manufacturing tune-ups and improvements.
