Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to drive security architecture for containerized cloud environments. You will shape technical strategy, design controls for orchestration, and mentor engineers to uphold compliance across multi-cluster systems.

Role requires 5+ years in security, Kubernetes security expertise, IaC with Terraform/Helm, and strong English. This is a 100% remote position with competitive USD or local currency compensation and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in Kubernetes security and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Helm.
• Solid experience with AWS, EKS, and CI/CD automation tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience leading security accreditation architecture, mentoring engineers, and driving compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the security accreditation architecture and define the technical direction for highly secure cloud environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls and policies for container orchestration platforms and infrastructure code.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and security awareness.
• Drive cross-functional compliance and governance initiatives to meet stringent industry and regulatory standards.
• Automate security verification and integration processes within the deployment lifecycle to ensure continuous compliance.
