We are seeking a Field Lead Operator to be based in Altamira, Mexico. NFE’s unique Fast LNG solution utilizes existing marine and liquefaction technology and infrastructure to develop lower cost liquefaction facilities that can quickly be deployed around the world while offering substantial cost and timing benefits compared to standard liquefaction vessels or onshore liquefaction terminals.
As the Field Lead Operator, you’ll be responsible for the execution of field operational activities including those related specifically to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all associated equipment of the FLNG facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate field process equipment in compliance with company environmental and safety policies.
- Report safety + environmental concerns, problems, and incidents to appropriate team members.
- Assist with the pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and initial operation of the pretreatment, liquefaction, storage + loading.
- This will include being a vital member of the integrated commissioning / start-up team(s) with the EPC contractor.
- Improve and actively monitors operating conditions and parameters of field equipment.
- Understand the status of field equipment safety systems and field safety devices and ensures that they are in place and operable or approved alternate safeguards are available for continued safe operating and effective emergency response.
- Conducts all process related field operations & activities on-shift in coordination with or direction from the DCS Operator-Process.
- Support implementation of the equipment clearance procedure, as well as Job Safety Analysis/Work Authorization/Confined Space/Hot Work Permits.
- Ensure required area safety checks are conducted, personnel executing work in the process areas are familiar with the site emergency response protocols and all safety requirements are in place prior to execution of maintenance activities.
- Participate in the training program – act as a mentor by providing the trainee with meaningful job assignments, on the job training, and progress monitoring.
- Participate in Operating Procedure & Manual development process
Qualifications
- 5 years' operations experience in energy industry.
- Experience in operations commissioning, startup & operations in oil & gas, LNG facilities experience desired.
- Strong understanding operating and permit limits to ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining maximum reliability and efficiency.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of process plant operations, systems, and equipment.
- Organized, planning skills, able to manage multiple activities and programs in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines.
- Applied knowledge of process operations & principles to daily decision making and work tasks.
- An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment.
