Iron Mountain seeks a Lead Engineer - Developer Platform to join our Enterprise Information Technology team. You will shape the future of our internal developer experience by evolving our Backstage-based platform and guiding architectural decisions.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep cloud skills and strong coding in Python/Go/TypeScript, plus a focus on automation, security, and GitOps. You will mentor teams to deliver scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• Advanced English skills.
• 7+ years in a technical role with 2–4 years as a technical lead on complex engineering initiatives.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Expert Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE) and cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience building REST APIs, GitOps (ArgoCD), and automating security with Akeyless or HashiCorp Vault.

Responsabilités

• Architect and lead the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and Kubernetes ecosystem architecture (ADRs).
• Contribute to the platform codebase (50%+ hands-on) using Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Explore and integrate Generative AI capabilities to boost developer productivity.
• Partner with Product Owners to create Golden Path templates for simpler deployments.
• Mentor team members through architectural deep-dives, code reviews, and GitOps adoption.
