UL Solutions in Querétaro, Mexico is seeking a diligent laboratory technician to set up, operate, and maintain test equipment and execute standard plans. You will record data, prepare datasheets, and communicate with customers to ensure clear understanding of methods and results. You will support training of staff and contribute to continuous lab improvements.

The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with Engineering to optimize testing processes.

Formación

• Experience operating laboratory and specialized test equipment.
• Ability to document data and prepare test reports.
• Strong communication with customers.

Responsabilidades

• Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory and specialized test equipment to support customer testing.
• Execute test plans and datasheets in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Evaluate test performance, analyze sample operation, and interpret test results.
• Accurately record observed and calculated data, completing test reports and UL datasheets.
• Examine customer samples, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions to ensure correct test execution.
• Communicate with customers during test setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation and understanding of test methods and results.
• Provide feedback to Engineering and Management on testing issues, laboratory procedures, and improvement opportunities.
• Build, modify, or adapt test setups and equipment to meet new or changing testing requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Train and support other staff on specific test methods and equipment setup.
• May plan tests, direct staff during test setups, and provide professional opinions and interpretations of results.
• Apply continuous improvement concepts to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall lab performance.
