Eaton's AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is currently seeking a SR QUALITY ENGINEER.

What you'll do:

This position is responsible for executing the defined Strategic Quality Plan. this position will have the responsibility to align the resources and evaluate their effectiveness to define actions to improve their performance and exceed their expectations. Drives continuous improvement in quality while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Eaton Quality System (EQS), would lead Quality process team utilizing Lean/Six Sigma tools and corrective action teams using 8D methodologies.

Executes the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements, and assuring compliance with the suppliers.

Essential Functions:

• Effective management of the QA resources through Eaton Leadership Model.
• Work as a team with the support departments in order to define necessary actions to meet customer requirements.
• Support Eaton Initiatives and practices for the Development of People by using tools as the Succession Plans, OCA, QLI, CIF, APQP and EBS tools.
• Provides Quality customer interface and expertise to proactively assure requirements are understood and satisfied, including assisting in complaint resolution and root cause and corrective action determination.
• Supports Supply Chain Management organization relative to the collection and analysis of supplier quality data providing expertise and assists suppliers with product and process quality requirements.
• Participates in the auditing of internal Quality Systems and completes part approval documentation to assure that customer requirements are met in new or modified products and processes, including Suppliers' Quality Systems.
• Participates in product development and launch activities including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing.
• Investigates and eliminates causes of quality problems and follows up on corrective actions, including issues with suppliers.
• Participates in the design, procurement, maintenance, and evaluation of gages, measurement instruments, devices and test equipment.
• Participate in the Customer Scorecards Review and support actions to improve their satisfactions as applicable
• Coordinate evaluations in the supplier performance to address those where risks are being identified with the Supplier Quality Team.
• Support with the implementation and sustain for the Quality Initiatives, including PPAP and CAPA processes to support the Quality Lead Indicators.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

• Min 3 years Quality System experience in Aerospace Industry Preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Preferred Specialized Knowledge (not required to be qualified for position):

Job Description

• Provide Quality Engineering and Validation leadership for design, product, and manufacturing line transfer projects, ensuring applicable quality, regulatory, and business requirements are incorporated throughout transfer planning and execution.
• Lead Quality activities associated with design transfer and manufacturing line transfer, including assessment of product and process requirements, specifications, critical-to-quality characteristics, manufacturing controls, inspection and test methods, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and execute the quality and validation strategy for transfer projects, including identification of required qualification and validation activities and establishment of objective evidence demonstrating manufacturing readiness.
• Lead and support process validation and equipment qualification activities, including validation planning, protocol development and review, execution oversight, deviation resolution, statistical assessment, and final report approval, as applicable.
• Apply risk-based methodologies throughout transfer activities to identify and mitigate product, process, supplier, equipment, and manufacturing risks. Utilize appropriate tools such as process FMEA, design FMEA, fault tree analysis, risk assessments, and other Quality Engineering methods.
• Ensure appropriate process controls, inspection methods, sampling strategies, acceptance criteria, and monitoring requirements are established and implemented prior to transfer completion and routine production.
