PPG is seeking a Jr production lead to supervise all production operations at our Tepexpan plant, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met. The role involves leading teams, optimizing resources, and maintaining safety and environmental standards in a fast-paced setting.

You will report to the production manager and may rotate shifts with travel between PPG sites. The package includes health and life insurance benefits.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Chemical/Industrial Engineering or Chemistry).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in the Chemical Industry.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts and travel between PPG sites/locations.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.

As a Jr poduction lead you will lead all production operations to ensure compliance with established quality, volume, cost, and delivery goals, optimizing available resources while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company standards. You will work #LI-Onsite reporting to the production manager in our plant located in Tepexpan.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will accomplish production plans that meet demand, timelines, and quality requirements aligned with our goals and maximize productivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to our growth and profitability.
  • You will lead teams by encouraging teamwork, promoting a positive work environment.
  • You will identify continuous improvement opportunities within production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs and lead times.
  • You will ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • You will manage materials, equipment, and human resources to maximize operational performance.
  • You will implement and maintain sustainability and occupational safety protocols, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and workplace standards to minimize risks and hazards promptly.
  • You will create production reports and measurements to support decision-making regarding production operations and workforce performance.
  • You will control shop-floor process performance to ensure maximum productivity, with a focus on reducing cycle times, costs, and unnecessary movements.
  • You will coordinate production lines and workflows, ensuring the proper use and operation of processing equipment according to established parameters and procedures, while complying with quality, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • You will maintain open lines of communication and collaboration among associates, supervisors, managers and teams to establish goals and agreements that help achieve organizational goals.
  • You will ensure the efficient execution of payroll management processes, including data entry, employee hiring, and organizational personnel changes, in strict compliance with corporate procedures.
  • You will oversee the implementation and follow-up of training plans for production associates, designing and implementing development plans that promote productivity excellence, compliance with safety protocols, and the management of corporate resources.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
  • minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position n the Chemical Industry
  • Availability to work rotating shifts and travel between PPG sites/locations.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Experience managing both unionized and administrative personnel.
