North America IML Containers, Inc. is seeking a skilled Plastic Injection Technician in Querétaro, Mexico. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial injection equipment to keep production running smoothly.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, are bilingual (Spanish-English), and have experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Willingness to travel for training in Canada and the USA is required.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Install new production equipment.
• Perform production changeovers and ensure quality.
• Service and maintain motors, conveyors, transmissions, and related equipment.
• Inspect functionality of production machines and troubleshoot breakdowns.
• Adjust mechanical parts with hand and power tools.
• Fabricate parts for repairs and upgrades.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Communicate with production team and keep area clean.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports.

Plastic Injection Technician Job Description

Plastic Injection Technicians are skilled mechanics that install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery. They usually work in manufacturing plants or small factories where they ensure the smooth running of in-house production equipment.

We are looking for a skilled Plastic Injection Technician to oversee the installation and maintenance of our industrial equipment. As an industrial maintenance technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

To ensure success as a Plastic Injection Technician, you should have advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills, and good time-management skills. Ultimately, a top-class industrial maintenance technician boosts production by ensuring all production equipment functions correctly and receives regular maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
• Installing new production equipment.
• Perform production changeovers on machinery and equipment as per customer demand and ensure production quality meets all technical requirements on time.
• Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyors, transmission, and production-related equipment.
• Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
• Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
• Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
• Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
• Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
• Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
• Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) and other languages will be an asset.
• In-depth mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems maintenance knowledge.
• Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with ISO safety standards and regulations.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer and report writing skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
• Good time-management skills.
• Availability to travel the first six months of employment to Canada, Quebec & USA for training
• US Visa Holder (B1/B2)
