Epicor is seeking a Java Developer in Monterrey to build, test, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to convert business requirements into working software.

You’ll write clean, well-documented code, develop RESTful APIs, and work with databases and third-party services. The role supports hybrid work and growth within a global ERP leader.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/SE/IT or related field
• 0–2 years of software development experience using Java
• Experience with Spring Boot through academic projects, internships, or professional work
• Knowledge of MVC/MVC architecture
• Understanding of web services, microservices, and SDLC

Responsabilidades

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and related technologies
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and team collaboration
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, UX designers, and senior developers to implement requirements
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

• Support unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and production issue analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, quality, and development processes

What You’ll Do

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and related technologies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product managers, quality assurance engineers, UX designers, and senior developers to implement business requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with databases and third-party services.
• Support unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and production issue analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve application performance, quality, and development processes.

What You’ll Bring

• Foundational knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic SQL query development.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to learn quickly and work within cross-functional teams.

What Could Set You Apart

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of software development experience using Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot through academic projects, internships, personal projects, or professional experience.
• Knowledge of MVC/MVC architecture.
• Basic understanding of web services, microservices architecture, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Preferred: Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, JUnit, and modern DevOps practices.
• AI RAG experience a plus
