Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking a junior Database Administrator Assistant to support MS SQL databases and servers across the organization. You will assist with maintenance, security, backups, ETL processes, and end-user support under the guidance of a Senior DBA.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and documentation of issues and resolutions, while contributing to BI reporting needs and data integrity initiatives.

Formación

• Experience with database administration and SQL Server is preferred.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and BI reporting is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and end-user support skills are expected.

Responsabilidades

• Supports the Database Administrator in developing and maintaining SQL Server maintenance plans, performance, security, backup and recovery provisions.
• Assists with administration and end-user support for SQL Server environments.
• Troubleshoots technical difficulties and user access issues for the server environment.
• Assists Senior DBA with SQL configuration, monitoring and tuning.
• Maintains reports of problems and resolutions.
• Provides ETL/BI solutions and support for reporting needs.
• Monitors SQL integration points and resolves Tier 1 issues as needed.
• Performs ETL solutions to support organizational needs and requests.
• Maintains database backups and transaction logs.
• Audits databases to ensure integrity and accuracy.
• Supports organizational SQL reporting and data analysis needs.

Responsible for assisting the Database Administrator with the design, development, maintenance, support, integration, troubleshooting, and all administrative functions of MS SQL databases and servers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports the Database Administrator in developing and maintaining SQL Server maintenance plan, performance, security, backup and recovery provisions.
• Support Database Administrator in administration and end user support.
• Troubleshoot technical difficulties and user access issues for the server environment.
• Assist Senior DBA with SQL configuration, monitoring and tuning.
• Maintain reports of problems reported and resolutions.
• Provide support configuration, map creation, and provide ETL and BI solutions.
• Monitor and maintain SQL integration points and resolve Tier 1 issues as needed.
• Perform ETL (Extract Transform & Load) solutions to support organizational needs and requests.
• Maintain database backups and transaction logs.
• Audit databases to ensure integrity and accuracy.
• Support organizational SQL reporting and data analysis needs.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• SQL Server Management Studio: 2 years (Preferred)
• Database administration: 1 year (Preferred)
• ETL- Extract Transform & Load: 1 year (Preferred)
