Klar is seeking a detail-oriented Risk Analyst to join our Mexico City office with a hybrid model. You will work on risk, finance, and regulatory topics, turning data into actionable insights.

The role involves learning to monitor risk, collaborate with multiple teams, and grow proficiency in SQL, Metabase, and Excel while supporting governance and internal controls.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a similar analytical field.
• 0–2 years of experience in risk, finance, data analysis, consulting, or related area.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work with numbers and business information in a structured way.
• Good written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Basic SQL, Python or Metabase knowledge is a plus, but willingness to learn is enough.

• Work on topics related to credit risk, liquidity, provisions, regulatory metrics, portfolio behavior, internal controls, and governance.

• Support recurring risk monitoring activities and help turn data, findings, and business context into clear analysis.
• Use tools such as SQL, Metabase, VSCode, Excel / Google Sheets to extract, organize, validate, and analyze information.
• Learn how to use AI tools responsibly to support analysis, documentation, and day-to-day productivity.

The position and your daily adventures

This is a full-time position based in our Mexico City office with a hybrid model, therefore we are looking forward to seeing you in our office 2-3 times per week.

What we are looking for:

• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work with numbers and business information in a structured way.


• Ability to organize unclear or incomplete information and turn it into clear documentation, summaries, trackers, or analyses.


• Good written communication skills in English and Spanish.


• High attention to detail and comfort following up with different teams to gather information and close open items.


• Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets.


• Basic SQL, Python or Metabase knowledge is a plus, but willingness to learn is enough.


• Interest in using AI tools responsibly to support analysis, documentation, and day-to-day work.


• Curiosity, ownership, and good judgment when working with new topics.


• Advanced English level.
