Job summary

Placements24 in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, seeks a strategic Quality Head in Manufacturing to lead QA across the production lifecycle. You will develop and maintain QMS, ensure ISO 9001 compliance, and drive CAPA and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within manufacturing (furniture preferred).
• Experience developing and implementing ISO 9001 or similar QMS.
• Strong knowledge of statistical quality control (SQC) tools.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Relocation or residence near Tlaquepaque, Jalisco.

About the Role

Our client, a distinguished leader in the furniture manufacturing industry, is actively seeking an experienced and strategic Jefe de Calidad en Manufactura to spearhead their quality assurance initiatives. This pivotal role, based in the artisan-rich region of Tlaquepaque, Jalisco , will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality management systems that ensure our products consistently meet and exceed customer expectations and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Establish quality control procedures and standards for all stages of the manufacturing process.

• Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze quality data, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in quality assurance and quality control within the manufacturing sector, preferably in furniture or woodworking.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
• Strong knowledge of statistical quality control (SQC) tools and techniques.
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Reside in or be willing to relocate to the vicinity of Tlaquepaque, Jalisco .
