Wizeline is seeking a Java Developer for an onsite role in South Mexico City. You will design, implement, and maintain middleware and APIs to enable seamless integration across applications, while working with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions.

Required 4+ years in Java, strong API and middleware knowledge, and proficiency in Python/Shell/Perl for automation. English and Spanish communication skills are essential.

• 4 years of experience in Java development with API implementation.
• Solid experience with middleware environments and application servers.
• Strong understanding of API management and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, or Perl) for automation and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced English and Spanish communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain middleware solutions ensuring seamless communication between systems.
• Develop and manage APIs to enable smooth integration across applications.
• Apply integration patterns (message queues, pub-sub, service orchestration) to build scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve middleware issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient software solutions.

Must-Have Skills

• 4 years of experience in Java development, with strong knowledge of NodeJS and API implementation.
• Solid experience with application servers and middleware environments.
• Strong understanding of API management and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, or Perl) for automation and maintenance tasks.
• Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced English and Spanish communication skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with version control (Git).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
• Understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing).
• Experience with web services (REST, SOAP).
• Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions (MuleSoft, Apache Camel).
• Familiarity with logging frameworks (Log4j, ELK Stack).
• AI Tooling Proficiency: Ability to leverage AI tools to optimize workflows, automate tasks, and provide recommendations for efficiency.
