Ford Motor Company in Mexico is seeking an experienced IVI Subsystem Design Verification Supervisor to lead a team of validation automation engineers working on infotainment software validation across multiple levels, including test design, automation, and incident resolution.

The role emphasizes expertise in test strategies, ASPICE, ISTQB, and modern software development practices, with collaboration across embedded software and project management to deliver robust Ford infotainment solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of advanced professional experience with Software / Requirements Verifications projects (Test Suite and Automation solutions for multiple Verification / Validation scopes and Integration levels).
• 8+ years of professional experience in architecting and implementing Test Strategies.
• 5+ years of professional experience proposing technical direction for Design Verification framework solutions.
• 5+ years Python, Java, or C++ Programming

Responsabilidades

• Project leader for the execution of strategies for Test design, planning and execution methods, and automation scripts used for requirements verification purposes, at multiple integration / solution levels.
• Guide and contribute to incident resolutions and reporting, including Preventive Actions implementations into the Test Strategy.
• Guide and contribute to defining Test Management Strategies (tools and processes selection / creation) used by the Test Teams on the planning, execution, and reporting phases.
• Guide and contribute to the selection of the defect management tools and processes.
• Guide and contribute to the definition of Automation tools and strategies, including Staffing, Development, Material, Equipment and Facilities.
• Understand, promote, and contribute to the improvement of Ford Standards and tools for pipeline development.
• Promote code artisanship best practices, quality and security standards; and leads/contributes to the improvement of them.
• Promote industry Software Quality Assurance standards (ASPICE, ISTQB, ASAM, INCOSE, etc.) to improve the Test Strategies within the team.
• Provide thought leadership and perspective across multiple organizations to eliminate knowledge silos.
• Build a highly collaborative, motivated team environment and partner with project managers, embedded system engineers, embedded software developers, and embedded software quality assurance engineers daily.

In the position of IVI Subsystem Design Verification Supervisor, you will influence our efforts in the development of sensors, ECUs, models, and software. The person in this position is passionate about the validation and verification of new features.

The IVI Subsystem Design Verification Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of validation automation development engineers to ensure robust software for Ford’s infotainment systems. The IVI Subsystem Design Verification Supervisor serves in an expert capacity to lead production embedded software validation projects to ensure compliance to test and quality standards, setting a world-class example for the automotive industry.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

• 10 + years of advanced professional experience with Software / Requirements Verifications projects (Test Suite and Automation solutions for multiple Verification / Validation scopes and Integration levels).

• 8+ years of professional experience in architecting and implementing Test Strategies.

• 5+ years of professional experience proposing technical direction for Design Verification framework solutions.

• 5+ years Python, Java, or C++ Programming

Preferred requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

• Extensive Experience with Requirements Engineering or Electrical Architecture or Software Architectures.

• Experience Championing, Promoting, Leading:

  • Software configuration management systems (source control, DevSecOps, CI/CD, etc.).

    • Software operations (DevSecOps, Reliability Engineering, observability, support/maintenance, etc.).

• Experience in modern software development methodology, such as pair programming, test-first/test-driven development OR demonstrated delivery of singular focus programming.

• Experience with multiple tech stacks and the verification of its functions including cloud environments, Mastery of ReactJS, Qt (or equivalent), C/C++ language, GNU toolchain, and Unix (QNX, Linux, or equivalent

• Demonstrated success creating evolutionary architectures with appropriate operational characteristics: scale, reliability, security, performance, etc.
